So much fun...So little gas money

Somebody at the shop a few days ago said, "It is to bad MTB racing is dead in this area." I about flipped out.

We need to organize the KC crew and carpool to some of the further away races. Post if your interested and we can try and make it happen.
This is in no way a complete list either.

Cheers to heart of America dirt cycling in 2008.

This doesn't exactly pertain to your post, but would you mind if I joined your ride on Sunday? You can say no, I won't have hurt feelings. :)

I hope you can round up some guys to come race in the Psycowpath series. I'll be heading down to all of the Heartland XC races and a few of the Midwest Fat Tire races and should hopefully have a van full every time. If I run out of room will have to get Kent to drive the new Sprinter. If you can get 3 or 4 guys to travel it's helps out a lot on gas. If we can get more people traveling to these local series all the races will be better in the future. Glad to see you promoting the regional stuff.

Good luck this year on the 29'r team.

Okay, who in KC said MTB racing is dead.

If it's someone from the shop punch 'em in the gut for for me.

We've got some of the best racing and highest quality riders in the country.

Saddle up Steve, time to kill it!

Mountain biking dead in the midwest? Whateva! I believe it's stronger than ever. MTB racing has definitely changed, but it's still going strong.

Take the emergence of the endurance scene, for example. The number of endurance races such as TI and Dirty Kanza as well as all the 6/12/24 hour races has blossomed in the past few years. It's not just about short fast XC races anymore. Finally, a race format for those of us without the ability to go balls to the wall for an hour and a half.

Dont forget Kansas Fat Tire Festival May 3&4 at Lake Wilson Ks. The best unknown trail and race in Kansas.

Got a little ditty going down on 7/12/08 near Madison. 12 Hours of Blue Mound. 3,6, or 12 hour categories....choice is yours. Sweet venue, lots of rocks, and about 95% singletrack. See ya there!
